Blog work... Pictures tell a story

Here's the first of a series of blog based projects...


GATHER  5 images that are examples of designers using a dominant IMAGE to tell a story (or make you feel a mood).


Post them to your blog, write the word they associate with below them, and describe how it evokes the mood.
Please write the designer's name too...

Consider how designers use: Cropping, blur (sharp or soft focus), color, irony,  and even the camera angle...


Here is an example to get you going:



This is a poster for the movie "The American" designed by Kellerhouse inc.  The poster uses a "chopped" image to create a feeling of drama, violence and energy. Notice that the broken area is on a DIAGONAL- a more active line than a horizontal line.....

The camera angle looks like you are lower than the figure, adding to the drama because the action is rushing away from you!
 
Also the image is black on an empty background with the glow to lead you to see his gun and head....
