1. What was your "word" and it's meaning?
My word is "Torrid". "Torrid" means subject to parking or burning heat especially of the sun, as a geographical area.
2. How does your logo use: shapes, values, colors, common experiences or symbols to express the meaning of the word?
My logo is a simple circular cactus that has black as its main color, implying that its burnt. The border of the cactus is bright orange and the small flames are in warm colors, emphasizing the heat of the image. I chose a cactus because a cactus is a plant that grows in the hot desert. The cactus's cartoon "dead" emphasizes "torrid" because it was so hot even a cactus burned up and died. Most symbols having to do with heat use warm colors.
