Response to Japan Project

Lets create an object or series of objects in reaction to the tragedy in Japan. The unifying element in the design will be the shape of an origami crane- from the story of 1,000 cranes. Your challenge as a designer is to apply other aspects of the Japanese culture to the format of the crane to create an art object showing compassion and support for the Japanese people.

Here is the Crest design for Japan. It has an interesting (and symbolic) use of a 5-7-5 pattern... Here is a link to more info on Japanese "crests"...
